The New Birth of the Earth as Described in the Flood of Noah as applied to the New Birth of Man

The New Birth of the Earth as Described in the Flood of Noah

as applied to the New Birth of Man

Ephesians 3.14 to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

Note: The title of this article applies in no way to claim the NEW EARTH of Isaiah 65.17;   Isaiah 66.22; II Peter 3.13 or Revelation 21.1. The focus of this article is on the new birth of the man with reference to the earth in the time of the flood of Noah and how the earth acts as a WITNESS to the new birth of the man.

This is the story of the earth at the time of the great flood that occurred in the biblical time of Noah. This story takes place in Genesis chapter 6-8.

Genesis 7.11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

The Lord God stated that the heart of man was continually evil. Now focus on the word all from Genesis 7.11, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up,

Genesis 6.5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

The conclusion of the birth of the new earth takes place in…

Genesis 8.21 And the Lord smelled a sweet savour; and the Lord said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.

This statement was made earlier in both Genesis 6.5 & Genesis 8.21. for the imagination of man’s heart is evil; Keep in mind that the bible speaks about the fountains of the deep opening up, this is an important part of the new birth process of the man.

First review: there were evil thoughts in the heart of man continually. This means separation from God. To walk in the safety and security of God one needs to acknowledge that they were born a man with evil thoughts mingled with good Genesis 6.5 & Genesis 8.21 (lukewarm). This is the nature of the man or the sin nature also called the flesh nature. Now a reveling needs to take place (from within), all things of God must occur from within as God is an inward standard and way of life and living. Revelation 3.14-16.

Second review: after the true nature of man is reveled to the individual, that person needs a new birth standard to take place. (John the 3rd chapter will be covered later in this article). The new birth standard must line up with the laws of God and come from within. Re-read Genesis 7.11 from the passage above. Apply the new birth of the earth, a change that occurred from within the earth to the new birth of a man that must occur from within a person. A new standard is about to take place and this new standard is taking on the life and nature of God (Christ) and putting off the old man the old nature.

Third review: and the Lord smelled a sweet savor (Genesis 8.21). The flesh nature of man is not pleasant to God; it is not a sweet savor. Remember the best a man can do is Isaiah 64.6   But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. Understand, this is the best state that man can obtain to on his own.

Filthy rags: a used menstrual cloth (KJV).

Read Zechariah 3.1 And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.2 And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.4 And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.5 And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.6 And the angel of the LORD protested unto Joshua, saying,7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by. 8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.

fair mitre: a type of head turban

Zechariah 3.1-8 utilize other translations for clarity.

As Joshua the high priest stood before God, the only way for him to be cleansed and changed was for God Himself to do it. For God to remove the iniquity from Joshua, Joshua first had to take on the nature of God as an inward standard for the changing of the raiment to occur.

That was a long review so to recap 1. Evil thoughts. 2. New birth. 3. Sweet savor to God, a new standard from within too without.

It must be understood that man is appointed once to die, Hebrews 9. 24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: 25. Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; 26. For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28. So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Now we must examine the passage where Jesus talks to Nicodemus about being born again.

John 3.1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2. The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? 5. Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. 9. Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? 10. Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

Note: in vs. six caps in Spirit and lower case in spirit.

Moving on to baptism.

Matthew 28.18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Acts 2.38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Contrast Matthew 28.18 with Acts 2.38 above. Matthew 28.18 is a commandment whereas Acts 2.38 is the actual event.

Acts 2.41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

So far we have discussed the flood of Noah, born again and baptism. Remember the title of the article – The New Birth of the Earth as Described in the Flood of Noah as applied to the New Birth of Man.

The earth was reborn when the fountains of the deep brought forth the water. The rain was present in the new birth of the earth also. The water from within is the inward standard and the water from without is the outward standard. The water from within represents the born again state and the water from without represents water baptism. These two elements together are the natural (water baptism) and the spiritual (born again state).

Genesis 2.5; Genesis 7.4.

Genesis 7.12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

Moving on to the born again state of man. When one is born again a change takes place on one’s life that they can always remember as, “something has happened”. This change “the new birth” has or will occur when a person has -ALL THEIR- fountains of the deep opened up from with-in (Genesis 7.11). This individual will undergo what some may call pouring their heart out. Tears begin to flow cleansing from within. This is followed by the water baptism which is the cleansing from without. This is why the comparison was made using the earth to represent the man and the rain of the flood to represent water baptism. Water baptism cleans the outward man, whereas the pouring out of the heart cleanses the inward man enabling the new birth to take place from within too without; an inward standard.

After the new birth there is a peace that surpasses understanding. If you don’t have this as an experience then you only know of God meaning that you don’t know God personally. There should be a time in your life where you made a statement or wrote something down like this, A New Beginning Mark It Down”.

But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. 27. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28. And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. 30. I and my Father are one.

John 20.25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? 41. And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. 42. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. 43. Question: What is worse than going to hell?

Answer: Going to hell and hearing your son’s voice ask, “Dad what are you doing here”!

Isaiah 5.14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.

Zechariah 4:10 For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the Lord, which run to and fro through the whole earth.

Job 42.1-6 (Job’s self judgement) 1. Then Job answered the Lord, and said, 2. I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee. 3. Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not. 4. Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me. 5. I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee. 6. Four periods

0 formless and void; 1 no sin; 2 sin; 3 sin reveled; 4 sin covered; 1 restored to no sin.

Now use the four periods and use the man and the earth to follow the summary below.

  1. Man and earth formless and void. (man – Ephesians 1.4; earth – Genesis 1.2)
  2. The Spirit of God moves and creation takes place (man – Genesis 1.26; earth – Genesis 1.1) the perfect state.
  3. The fallen state takes place and the man is removed from the garden (man & earth –   Genesis 3.24) and placed in the corrupt world.
  4. An understanding of the two natures is needed to die out to sin (man – Galatians 3.13; earth -Revelation 22.3 – no more curse on the earth.
  5. Man needs a rebirth to be able to fellowship with God (man – John 3.5; earth           Zephaniah 1.18); appointed once to die. (Hebrews 9.27 & 1 Corinthians 15.31;                      earth Genesis 8.11 & Zephaniah 1.18)
  6. A new creation (man – I John 3.2; earth – Revelation 21.1)

The Two Natures – the worldly nature and the Nature of Jesus

We must understand that we were born into this world with two natures. The first and the original, that is the one that we were created with is the Tree of Life (Nature of Jesus). The other nature the one that we were born with is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (the worldly nature). Of these two natures the dominate nature is the worldly nature. The Nature of Jesus (as it should be referred to) is that of the Spirit, Isaiah 11.2. It is very very needful for all men to understand that every person that is born on this earth is born with the nature of God that indwelling spirit and the nature of the world that contains worldly knowledge and worldly desires, whereas the nature of God the (Nature of Jesus) contains the desires of the Spirit or the heavenly things. There is further need to understand the worldly nature. You were born with this nature and it is your dominate nature, it will not always guide you the wrong way but it will never direct you to the opposite nature that of the Nature of Jesus because this would be contrary to it’s wants and desires. It is up to each individual to discover that they were born and created with a better and superior nature that very nature found in God Himself – the Nature of Jesus. Today there is a teaching that a person needs to accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior, this teaching has roots grounded in truth with a twist of deception added to mingle the intended thought of Jesus Himself. The thought that Jesus has for the sinner’s prayer is simply this…

HOW CAN YOU THINK THAT YOU CAN ASK ME TO COME INTO YOUR HEART AND SAVE YOU WHEN YOU WERE BORN AND CREATED WITH ME ALREADY IN YOUR HEART? I CREATED YOU IN THE PERFECT STATE. YOUR NATURE WAS MY NATURE. YOU TURNED AWAY AND FOLLOWED AFTER ANOTHER AND THIS OTHER NATURE BECAME YOUR DOMONATE NATURE. I JESUS, HAVE BECOME SECOND IN THE LIVES OF MAN. AS YOU PRESS INTO MY NATURE – THE NATURE OF JESUS- THE WORLDLY NATURE CAN NOT FOLLOW AND IT DIES OUT. YOU PASS JUDGEMENT ON THE NATURE OF THE WORLD BY PRESSING INTO THE NATURE OF JESUS AND SEEKING AFTER THE WILL OF GOD. THE PRAYER “JESUS COME INTO MY HEART AND SAVE ME”, IS NOT EXCEPTABLE IN THE EYES OF GOD BECAUSE YOU WERE BORN WITH ME, JESUS ALREADY IN YOUR HEART, IT IS I JESUS THAT MAKES THE PRAYER – MY CHILD PRESS INTO MY NATURE AND SEEK MY WAYS AND I WILL WALK WITH YOU THEN YOU WILL KNOW TRUITH AND FOLLOW ME IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUITH. IT IS THIS SPIRIT AND TRUITH THAT WILL KILL OUT THE WORLDLY NATURE. IT IS I THAT PRAY FOR YOU TO ENTER UNTO ME AND I SEEK YOU DAILY, YOU WILL FIND ME ALREADY IN YOUR HEART. OPEN UP TO THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT I HAVE FOR YOU AND YOU WILL NO LONGER DESIRE THE WORLDLY NATURE. SEEK MY WAYS FOR THEY ARE GOOD. I AM THE TREE OF LIFE. JESUS.

The reason for this HARD statement is to get the message across that too many people are saved too easily and not really being saved at all. The problem is they think that they have been saved but nothing happened and life goes on unchanged, nothing has occurred from within. This is not to say that someone can’t say the sinners’ prayer and experience an inward change of life. However there are too many people that are led astray in the false hope that their life can be changed by reading a few lines on a piece of paper or repeating a prayer spoken by another. This is why I propose a change of terminology, the Nature of Jesus and the worldly nature. People are born into the worldly nature and re-born into the Nature of Jesus. This terminology gives greater emphases on the re-birth process; it also heightens the awareness for the need to understand and comprehend the Nature of Jesus.

Now someone is driving down the road and they come across a billboard that contains the sinner’s prayer. That person reads the sign and then repeats it down the road; are they now saved? Another person walks into a church – Any town USA – and picks up a bible tract and reads the sinner’s prayer; did they get saved? Third example, someone is watching a T. V. show and the host announces that 300 people have called in and reported that they have just gotten saved, were there really 300 people added to the church as in Acts 2.47. Is the T.V. host just posting numbers without any follow through, as in a program for new converts?

Read the following two scriptures below (Genesis 3.22 & Genesis 6.3) then focus on the word ALSO.

ALSO: in addition too.

Genesis 3.22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

Genesis 6.3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

Now for the first time in history man is both spirit and flesh. In the original creation man was spirit filled only. A change in man’s nature has taken place. Man no longer looks to God for guidance. The dominant nature of man (one without God) has taken control – the worldly nature is now established. A new birth is a must. The question that must be asked is…

In the 3rd chapter of the book of John (1-21) why didn’t Jesus suggest that Nicodemus say the sinner’s prayer?

The John 3:1-21 Study; also known as The John 3 Daniel Study

The John 3 Daniel Study; starting on the first day of the month get a note book and write out each day the scripture that correlates to the calendar date. Meditate throughout the day on that one verse that was written out that morning. Then that evening journal your thoughts on the day’s scripture verse. On day 22 read all of your journal notes, you should have a better understanding of what Jesus meant by “Ye must be born again.”

Genesis 1.26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

The bottom line is that you can’t ask Jesus to come into your heart and save you when He is already through the original creation a part of your very nature. Empty out yourself (your vessel) and let the spirit (Nature of Jesus) that is already a part of your nature take over and lead and guide your life. Remember when you empty out your vessel, what you are really doing is getting rid of that old nature; as Paul put it “I die daily”- I Corinthians 15.31; Colossians 3.9-11.

Ephesians 3.14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15. Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16. That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17. That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18. May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19. And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Colossians 3.9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10. And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

Romans 12.1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Titus 3.1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

Jeremiah 24.7; Ezekiel 11.19-21; Ezekiel 18.30-32; Ezekiel 36.26-27; II Corinthians 5.17;               Ephesians 2.14-18; Ephesians 4.24; II Peter 2.21-25; Revelation 2.23.

WE SHALL SEE HIM AS HE IS

I John 3.1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

When we think on the verse above it comes to mind that not only will we see Jesus as He is, we will see us as we once were (the original creation) that perfect man made in the very image of God. This image is the one that we shall be changed into. Be prepared as God will use trials and tribulations to transform you into this new nature, the Nature of Jesus.

Now it is time to go back to Genesis 1.26 and God said after our likeness…

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:

I Corinthians 15.51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Imperishable = Incorruption

Perishable = Corruption

One thing that we must do with our time on this earth is to bring forth the inner man so that this inner man’s desires become our desires. This is the transformation of the natures – old to new / worldly to spiritual / earthly to heavenly.

Ephesians 3.14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Isaiah 65.17; Isaiah 66.22; II Peter 3.13 or Revelation 21.1.

Zechariah 12.1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him. Ephesians 3.16

This scripture – Zechariah 12.1 – brings out that God formed the spirit of man. We must realize that when God forms something (the spirit of man) and places it in something (man) that both creations are perfect. This should shed light on the fact that the spirit of man is in fact still perfect as God had always intended it to be. The corruptible and the incorruptible states of man are explained as this. Incorruptible is God breathed and is not able to be corrupted; as this has always been a part of God’s creation it is not capable of being corrupted. The other state of the man – corruption was brought on by a conscious act that brought the man into two natures. The incorruptible, a creation of God and the corruptible, a manifestation of man’s own will.

Refer to I Corinthians 15.51 for clarification of the paragraph listed above.

Imperishable = Incorruption

Perishable = Corruption

Zechariah 3.1 And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.2 And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? 3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.4 And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.5 And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.6 And the angel of the LORD protested unto Joshua, saying,7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.9 For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.10 In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree.

This passage above presents man as filth in the eyes of God; with God having the authority and power to cleanse man enabling him to stand in the presents of God.

Revelation 21.27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

Behold, there went out a Sower to Sow

The Apostles and the Parable of the Sower

Stony Places Matthew 13.5

The Thorns Matthew 13.7

The Good Ground Matthew 13.8

Matthew 13. 1 The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.2 And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

The way side represents Judas: Matthew 10.4; Matthew 26.47-49; Matthew 27.1-10; Luke 22.47-48.

The stony places represent Peter: Matthew 26.33-35; Matthew 26.69-75.

The thorns represent Thomas: John 20.24-29.

The good ground represents John: John 19.25-27.

As we have seen the way side, the stony places and the thorns all need to be removed out of one’s life for the seed of the Holy Spirit to take root and grow so that the fruits some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty can come to pass. Check your life and ask God what needs to go. Only the good ground produces fruit to life with God.

Matthew 13.10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:15 For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

In conclusion the phrase “I will confess with my mouth” Romans 10.9 (not in front of a church as on a Sunday morning after “just getting saved”) but every day. For example when an old time sailor would slip and say one of his curse words in front of his mother it was done because that language was a part of his nature. In the same regards one should expect to slip every now and then by saying the name of Jesus. This would be a better measuring rod than asking yourself when was the last time that I read my bible. Take for example; today I was talking to my friend and all the sudden I just started talking about the Holy Spirit. That is confessing the name of Jesus with your mouth and heart. (Revelation 3.8)
